The company
Our client is a young and very successful business in the Events and Media industry which has quickly established a strong brand in a very competitive industry. The company is producing an in-depth publication and world class conferences and events.

Key Role Objectives:

You will be responsible for bringing in revenue through high level sponsorship and delegate packages and will be a core part of the founding team.

Requirements:
• To exceed agreed revenue targets for each campaign
• Research, identify and close new business
• Maximise revenue from new and current/previous sponsors
• To build and maintain strong relationships with senior level decision makers
• Demonstrate ability to build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified leads/business
• Establish, and maintain a level of market/client knowledge that can be utilised to assist in
the planning and support of present and future event development and sponsorship opportunities
• Practice effective time management; being able to identify, communicate, plan and
prioritise objectives
• Accurate reporting, forecasting and campaign management
• Occasional UK and International travel will be required

Our client is looking for a highly effective communicator and results oriented individual with a consultative approach to sales.

• You will need to relish a demanding, fast moving environment and have a proven track record of success in sponsorship or media sales.
• Educated to degree level
• Experienced in sales (min 18 months selling at senior level). Conference experience beneficial but not required. Media sales is a definite plus. Experience in face to face sales is a must. Events sponsorship sales is a must.
• Familiarity with digital media, particularly content sales desirable
• Demonstrated experience handling complex briefs and ability to respond with a considered and articulate proposal
• Should display resilience and adaptability whilst working under pressure
• Capable of making good business decisions based upon sound analysis,experience and judgement
• Good problem solving skills
• Self-motivated and driven by success
• Ability to manage heavy workloads, prioritise effectively
• Skilled at influencing decision makers and networking at a senior level
• Ability to articulate ideas clearly, logically and persuasively
• Able to pose intelligent questions that builds understanding of a particular topic and helps identify opportunities
• Enthusiasm for learning and ability to quickly grasp new ideas
• Should be a quick learner and demonstrate an ability to learn from others
• Able to take an honest and reflective approach to self-assessment, identifying strengths, weaknesses and an ability to adapt and improve accordingly
