Bond Recruitment is currently recruiting for a TECHNICAL AND CUSTOMER SERVICE TECHNICIAN this is a career advancing opportunity as you will have the to grow with the company
The company: The business is well established with an excellent staff retention rate that deals with digital print production

The role and responsibilities:

· Providing technical support to our international distributors and subsidiaries using various methods of communication including e-mail, telephone, Skype, TeamViewer, Whats App, Facetime etc.
· Gaining a thorough technical understanding of all of our products and their operation
· Establishing a strong relationship with our manufacturer suppliers to ensure we fully understand products in depth and can resolve all technical issues arising
· Excellent fault diagnosis skills
· Ensuring superb and efficient administration of spare parts and returns
· Assisting in the testing and evaluation of potential new products
· Working within the small technical team responsible for:
a) Training international distributors and clients
b) Installation of new equipment
c) Servicing and supporting UK clients
d) Ensuring all products in our showroom are always in top condition and ready for use
· Disseminating technical and product changes / knowledge to our technical staff and our international partners

Additional Information
£28,000 - £32,000 pa plus benefits that include a generous holiday entitlement, training and pension.
Personal specification:
The ideal candidate will have a good practical knowledge of digital printers, printing equipment and the use of graphic design software. This knowledge and experience required will probably have been gained through one of or a mixture of:
a) working in a digital print / print production department of a commercial print operation or corporate print department
b) working with digital printers in advertising, marketing or graphics studio / advertising agency
c) or through working for a manufacturer / distributor / dealer servicing and supporting printers and copiers with some software / applications knowledge

The Candidate - Skills & Qualities Required

· A good practical and technical understanding of digital print
· Enjoys using and understanding new technology
· Self-motivated to learn new products and share that knowledge with others
· Some experience or aptitude in using software applications would be an advantage
· Good organizational and administrative skills
· A sense of urgency and focus when required
· A proactive approach to customer service and support is essential
· Excellent telephone manner with good verbal communication is also required
· Good listener
· Good written communication is essential as the role requires constant communication via e-mail with customers where English may be a second language
· A good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
· The candidate must be willing to travel and be away from home on occasions - although the role is largely office based
· A car, driving license and passport is required
