The role and responsibilities:

In the role you will be setting and programming CNC Milling Machines. You will work on a variety of high tolerance aerospace components and other precision parts to the standards required. The ability to produce one off parts and maintain quality throughout larger batches. Maintain all quality and safety standards
· To program, set and operate machines using Fanuc

· Plans machining by studying work orders, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings. (As required also study reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T))

· Programs by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.

· Manual loading

· Carry out inspection, including first-off inspection

· Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to international standards.

· Maintains specifications; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

· Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

· Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.

· Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

· Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.

· Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.

· Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Additional Information
£10.00 - £14.00 per hour plus benefits that include a generous holiday entitlement, training and pension.
The hours are 6 to 6 Monday to Thursday, 6 to 2 on a Friday and Saturdays are optional at time and a half
Personal specification:
• Must be fully skilled in all aspects of CNC Milling, Fanuc i30 and positional 5 Axis
• To have the ability to improve offline programs.
• Demonstrate experience within Aerospace manufacturing environment.
• Be able to produce components to drawing tolerance and specifications, efficiently and accurately as required by the customer.

• Solve the root cause of unexpected problems.
• Attention to Detail.
• Be self-motivated and be able to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative.
