Management Accountant
Location: Oxford
Salary: Circa £45k

My client is looking for an experienced management accountant to get involved in all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, financial risk management, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead on:
• All accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL, cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue recognition
• Month-end and year-end close process
• Production of timely monthly consolidated financial statements
• Quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Managing and complying with local regulatory reporting requirements and tax filings
Assist with:
• Accounting and tax considerations relating to the setup and administration of international entities
• Preparation of regulatory reporting and internal/external audit processes
• Research of technical accounting issues for compliance
• Preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls

Required qualifications and experience
• ACA/ACCA qualified
• 4-5 years of post-qualification experience having initially trained in practice (experience at a big 4 is a plus) followed by experience in industry (preferably early stage start-up/fast-growth businesses in software, life sciences technology or telecom industries)

Desired qualifications and experience
• Experience with multi-national group company structures
• Knowledge of Xero accounting software
• Prior experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
